Object Description
Standing statuette of court lady wrapped in a wide-sleeved long garment falling to her feet in fish tail folds, her hands hidden in her wide long sleeves. Her hair is gathered in a large bun hanging down her neck. Traces of polychrome pigments. Repainting.

1/19/07: Some information about the piece was changed after research and examination by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator of Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. This research was made possible through a grant funded by Institute of Museum and Library Services (MA-01-05-0387) for the period of October 2005- October 2007.
