Object Description

"The sun rises on a tranquil scene of nature tamed." --Van Jones. Part 6-B of Sky Temple Suite consisting of six triptychs and nine studies representing the six lights of day (morning, noon, afternoon, dusk, night, dawn). Scene depicts landscape, tree foliage, clouds, river, gazebo, waterfront town, and column at right. Drawing on Arches 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. Dawn, 6-C, triptych to be hung with 1991.043 and 1991.044.
