Object Description
Four (4) striated rock forms on unified color background. Ganthiers' "Rock Series" moves a step back toward the abstract expressionism of her early days, and contains some of the finest work of her career. Their "rockness" is undeniable, but they have an exquisite tension as they float in light space. They have a mature metaphysical quality that is the result of long years of determined working and waiting.
