Object Description
Figure seated with crossed legs. Primarily blue coloring used. Portrait of Bill Bomar in 1946. Dallas painter Donald Vogel found common ground among the artists of the Fort Worth Circle. In the 1940s he was a frequent visitor to Fort Worth and a houseguest of Dickson and Flora Reeder. Vogel's 1945 portriat of fellow artist Bill Bomar was a direct and poignant reference to Bomar's lifelong struuggle with cerebral palsy.
