Object Description
Title, date and medium were taken from label written in 2007 by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator for Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas

This is an example of a Ming dynasty underglaze copper red deep dish with interior design of a stylized lotus roundel surrounded by double solid red borders in the cavetto scroll. The exterior is with a lotus leaf and blossom scroll below a scroll border. The piece has a raised base and an underglazed buff colored base rim and base.
