Object Description
One of a triptych of works. A collaged photograph of a carved sculpture. B/W. Two prints of the photograph are made; the first remains unaltered, while the second is torn into a shape – in this case a circle – this torn image is then inverted and collaged onto the original, unaltered image. This inversion creates a difference in the shadows that causes an optical illusion that the shape is recessed into the stone.
