Object Description
Title, date and medium were taken from label written in 2007 by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator for Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas

Heavily potted dish, an example of Jian yao ware, is covered with a thick dark brown/black glaze with the top rim having a think light brown glaze, underglazed base shows a dark beige body. This is an example of a piece from the Jianyong in the Fujian area.
