David Cain

David Cain was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 14, 1928. He grew up on a farm in Economy, Indiana. He attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. After graduating from college, he served in the Army during the Korean War. After returning home from the war, he lived in New York City for several years before moving permanently to Hamden, CT. As an enthusiastic traveler, he has painted and photographed throughout Europe, Greece, the Caribbean, Mexico, South America and the United States. He taught art and photography in Mexico City, Costa Rica, and Connecticut. Mr. Cain was a member of the Hamden Art League and loved to teach painting classes there.
