Kathy Webster was born in 1947 in Fort Worth, where she lives and works today. Her sculptures are created mostly from organics - - such as branches, leaves, fruits, vegetables, and gourds - - which she casts in bronze to create unique relationships among the various units that form an individual work. By capturing life in cast-bronze, and establishing relationships among various plant forms, Webster is able to simulate human-like dialogue in her pieces.
